Domain Backorder
Missed out on an expired domain name? Our automated domain backorder system monitors pending-delete .sg domains and attempts to snap them up the exact second the registry releases them.
⚡ Quick Reference
Success Rate: High, but not guaranteed (processed on a first-come, first-served basis if multiple registrars compete).
Service Fee: $20 SGD (Applies strictly to the backorder service execution; standard domain registration fees apply as normal).
Payment Type: Upfront payment required (Service Fee + Domain Registration Fee paid together at time of request).
Failure Processing: If the acquisition fails, a $10 fee is retained, and the remainder of your upfront payment is fully refunded to your Prepayment Credit.
How to Place a Domain Backorder
Check Availability: Search for the desired domain in your Vooju Account Admin Panel. If it is currently locked in the registry deletion loop, the option to Backorder will appear.
Submit & Pay Upfront: Queue the backorder request by providing your registrant credentials (NRIC/FIN or ACRA number). You will be required to pay both the $20 service fee and the standard domain registration fee upfront.
Automated Monitoring: Vooju’s automated systems will continuously track the SGNIC registry. The moment the domain drops, our system submits an instantaneous registration request on your behalf.
Outcome Tracking:
If Successful: The domain instantly appears under your active portfolio.
If Unsuccessful: Someone else beat us to it. Vooju retains a $10 processing fee, and the entire remainder of your upfront payment is immediately credited back to your account’s Prepayment Credit balance.
Frequently Asked Backorder Questions
What happens if multiple Vooju users backorder the same domain?
Backorders within Vooju operate on a strict first-come, first-served basis. The first user to submit and queue the backorder for a specific domain name gets exclusive priority. We do not run internal auctions for contested dropped domains.
Can I cancel a backorder request?
Yes. You can cancel a pending backorder request at any time right up until the domain enters its final release day. Simply navigate to your pending requests in your dashboard and click Cancel.
