🛠️ Common Troubleshooting Scenarios
Scenario 1: I can receive emails, but I cannot send out messages.
The Cause: Most residential and corporate Internet Service Providers (ISPs) intentionally block outbound Port 25 to reduce network spam. If your email software defaulted to Port 25, your outbound queries will time out.
The Fix: Go to your email app’s Outgoing Server Account Settings and manually override the port to 465 (using SSL) or 587 (using STARTTLS). Also ensure that SMTP Authentication is explicitly switched on.
Scenario 2: Error message “Invalid Username or Password” / Authentication Failures.
The Cause: Many mobile phones auto-fill just the prefix of your email into the “Username” field (e.g., entering just sales instead of sales@yourdomain.sg).
The Fix: Review both your Incoming and Outgoing connection profiles. The “Username” parameter must be your full, complete email address in both locations.
Scenario 3: I need to change my password but I’m not an administrator.
The Fix: Individual mailbox users can safely modify their own passwords without requesting administrative dashboard access by using the official Vooju self-service tool located directly at webmail.vooju.com.
