Foreign Customers and Admin Contact Proxy FAQ

Foreign Registrants of .SG Domain Names

International applicants are eligible to register .sg and .com.sg domain names, provided the registrant meets SGNIC’s rules of registration.

This section details the mandatory verification rules and documentation requirements for international entities that wish to utilise Vooju’s local administrative contact proxy service to secure their domain names in the .sg domain namespace.

⚡ VerifiedID@SG and Admin Contact Proxy

Per the regulatory standards set by the Singapore Network Information Centre (SGNIC), registering any .sg requires a local presence within Singapore to complete the verification process for each domain name.

For international companies, overseas brands, or foreign individuals without an active local ACRA business profile or a local contact, Vooju provides an administrative contact proxy service to fulfill this requirement. This allows you to appoint Vooju as your local administrative contact during the checkout process.

📂 Mandatory Documentary Proof of Identity

To protect the integrity of the network namespace, maintain registry compliance, and prevent fraudulent domain registrations, Vooju enforces a strict identity verification protocol.

📋 Important Requirement: Selecting the proxy service option during registration does not automatically finalize the domain setup. Vooju requires all proxy-backed registrants to submit clear, official documentary proof of identity before the proxy assignment can be formally approved and completed.

Acceptable Verification Documents:

Depending on whether you are registering the infrastructure as an organization or a private individual, you must submit one of the following diagnostic records:

For Corporate Entities / Businesses: A valid copy of your official Company Registration Certificate issued by your home country’s government corporate registry (e.g., Certificate of Incorporation, Business License, or equivalent official registry extract).

For Private Individuals / Solo Operators: A legible copy of your valid Personal Identity Document (e.g., an international passport, national identity card, or government-issued driver’s license clearly displaying your full name and photograph).
